Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
When I saw this card that my friend Bobby did, I had to go on a search
for this pretty iris die set.
I chose to go yellow on mine and stared out by cutting the pieces from
mixed media paper. I couldn't get the brightness I wanted with watercolors,
so I pulled out my Distress re-inkers and was able to get the colors I had in mind.
A few flicks with colored pencils added some dimension to the petals.
The Flower Challenge is asking for stripes or spots with our flowers this month,
so I pulled out an embossing folder with stripes. I added a few stamped
spots to the sentiment strip and put that last leaf I'd cut to accent it.
Challenges:
The Flower Challenge #102 - Add stripes or spots to floral card
NBUS #74 - Never before used schtuff
Seize the Birthday #305 - Birthday card with flowers

Beautiful yellow irises Bonnie and the striped embossed background suits it perfectly...a really terrific card! x
Love your card with those beautiful yellow irises, and the dimension of the embossed background. Thanks for sharing with us at Seize the Birthday.
I have had those irises in my PTI cart since Bobby presented her gorgeous card, Bonnie!! You've taken me from wishing to buying this morning with your stunning yellows! Beautifully colored and arranged over top of your embossed stripes! Thanks for playing!

Both your card and Bobby's card are beautiful. I love that bright yellow and that cool background.
These sunny and cheerful Iris flowers would make anyone's birthday a happy one! Pretty card, Bonnie!
Dots and stripes AND such lovely Iris's Bonnie! I'm so glad Michele put these in her shopping cart this morning because I know she'll share and I can try my hand at these too! I just love the deep yellow you achieved on these and wish I had some like this in my garden! (I just have the purple ones from my hubby's grandmother, but I love knowing that she enjoyed seeing them come up every year and now I can carry that on for her!) Lovely, lovely card my friend and thanks so much for sharing them with us at The Flower Challenge!! Hugs. :0)
Gorgeous yellow iris! Love the colors you've used, and iris happen to be one of my faves -- I'm not sure I can actually claim a favorite, but with a yard full of different iris, these are definitely up there! Your iris card is wonderful
I can see why you wanted these dies, Bonnie. You certainly know how to make a die-cut come to life with your coloring details. I like how you divided the panel with your leftovers. Such a truly gorgeous birthday card. Thanks for playing at Seize the Birthday and using the Topping.
Wow! These blooms are stunning. Love your pop of yellow, and the shading on them is fabulous. They just look as though you have pressed real irises.
We have our irises out now, but I wish we had a yellow one like this, it's beautiful. x
Sorry (not sorry) to be an enabler, Bonnie, but I love seeing how beautiful you made those irises. Your pencil detail added a lot to their realistic look and yellow irises are like sunshine in the garden. Thanks for sharing your card with us at The Flower Challenge.
WOW! Amazing! I love your irises. Watercolor and colored pencils always work wonders. Your flowers look so natural. You are absolutely right, these dies are amazing. And thank you for the beautiful inspiration, Bonnie.

Those die cut iris are stunning! The white on white stripes are a wonderful backdrop for them. Such a lovely card!
Gorgeous xx
These irises are incredible! I think you're tempting all of us with your skill at bringing them to life. A gorgeous card. I had yellow Siberian Iris, but these remind me of the Tall Dutch Iris I used to have, sigh... So pretty!
Bonnie, your irises are beautiful. Thanks for joining us at STB with your fantastic card.
WOW!! Now this is what I call yellow!! Your cards and design work never fail to amaze me.
