Sweet Friendship

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I did some more strawberry cards while I had that die set out.

The strawberries were cut from mixed media paper and colored with Stampin' Up inkpads.
I smoosh the ink into the inside of the cover and pick up with my waterbrush.

I used a white gel pen to lighten the seeds and then topped them off with a
Neon Yellow Sharpie.

And one more....

This time I cut them from a light green cardstock and used blending brushes to
add color.  A touch with a barely damp waterbrush blends the color.

I've had this burlap die in my NBUS box for who knows how long!
It has finally made it's debut.

This sentiment stamp was inked with markers, huffed and thankfully
stamped well first try.

Is this an election? If so, the first card should win. A perfect dance with all the different elements. It really goes together like peanut butter and jelly. Once again your strawberries look good enough to eat!! Wonderful creation -

Two fabulous and yummy looking cards Bonnie! Did I read your post correctly on the 2nd card that your strawberries started out on green cardstock and you painted over the green with the reds?? They look so perfect and RED!!! Your backgrounds on both cards are wonderful too! A duo of loveliness my friend!! Hugs. :0)

Those strawberries DO look good enough to eat on both your lovely cards. Love the sentiment on the first card. I have that burlap die also and need to get out to play with. Thanks for the inspiration. Have a wonderful week my friend.

I may just have to pack up my strawberry dies when I head north, Bonnie. Both cards are delicious.

You go with the strawberries, Bonnie! These are both so pretty and yummilicious! I love the texture and layering on the first card with the large sentiment, and the burlap die on the second card. It's a perfect place to rest those beautiful berries!

Yum! I love such sweet friendship! Perfect sentiment and tasty strawberries, all in beautiful frames is a recipe for a wonderful card. I also love the second card, you painted the strawberries so realistically, my dear Bonnie.

Bonnie,
Your strawberries look so realistic and your white card with all its textures make a great background for them. What a nice sentiment! Thanks for playing along with our fruit theme this week at Just Us Girls!

Wow, these certainly look good enough to eat! Yummo! Lovely background too, gives a lot of interest without detracting from your lovely fruit!

The strawberries on both cards really do look good enough to eat Bonnie and the added burlap type embossed background and the pretty shaped sentiment mat on which you have placed them look wonderful. Then the second card with the lovely die cut burlap beneath the strawberries works brilliantly and I love the way you have inked the sentiment in a coordinating colour but just used red for the one word 'special' to make it stand out, and this is certainly a special card. x

I love all your renditions with this plump and delicious strawberry cluster, Bon! Each bit of texture and background just help to showcase them more! Thank you for adding to NBUS and for using this week's I.D.E.A.S. Calendar and linking in the gallery to motivate others!📌Hugs, Dolly

Two great cards - love those strawberries (you coloured them perfectly!). I can't wait for our local strawberries to be in season. The burlap die is a great background for a CAS card. And that sentiment on the first card is fabulous.
